Prices above are the published operator rates, not a promise of real-time availability. Use the current booking calendar to confirm dates and final checkout totals. Age and experience guidance must be checked for the water level and your crew. The two-day page also describes a 16-mile North Creek-to-Thurman route as an alternate itinerary.

Choose by the river — not just the name.

For the main whitewater day, start with the Hudson River Gorge trip . It combines the Indian River with the Hudson and puts the whole group in a guided raft. Summer is often the family choice, while spring is a higher-water trip. The season does not remove the need to check requirements.

For a slower pace, look at Lazy River Tubing , the published five-mile Class I float. For more time away from the road, compare the overnight trips . Guides cook, handle camp chores and work with your group on an itinerary suited to the river.

A private raft is available at the published Hudson day-trip rate for 4–8 people. The two- and three-day prices are per raft, up to 8. For four days, call to discuss the route and group-size pricing. This helps you compare the right unit — a per-person price is not the same as a private-raft price.

What do the river classes mean?

  • Class I · Beginner: very easy water with small, regular waves and riffles.
  • Class II · Novice: easy rapids and waves that require some maneuvering.
  • Class III · Intermediate: moderate difficulty, larger waves and features that require skilled maneuvering.
  • Class IV · Advanced: powerful rapids and hazardous features that require precise maneuvering.
  • Class V · Expert: very difficult, long rapids with strong turbulence and obstacles requiring expert maneuvering. The operator’s Moose River guidance requires prior experience.

American Whitewater calls its scale a rough guide, not a substitute for first-hand information. Ratings and danger can change with flow, cold water, downed trees, floods and weather. Read its International Scale of River Difficulty ↗ . The Hudson Gorge’s published spring and summer ratings differ. See the rapid-by-rapid guide and ask the team which trip matches your group.

The current published trip list does not include an independently bookable Middle Hudson day trip, Lower Hudson Gorge day trip or standalone inflatable kayaking trip. The overnight descriptions do mention Lower Hudson route options and inflatable kayaks on a suitable upper section.
