- Call about children, high water, swimming comfort, physical requirements and accessibility needs.
- Tell us about food allergies or dietary requirements in advance.

Wear the right layers.
Spring and cool fall trips need synthetic or wool insulation beneath the supplied wetsuit, warm socks and a hat. Avoid cotton in cold conditions. Summer guests often wear a swimsuit or shorts and a T-shirt. Wear footwear that stays secure on your feet — not flip-flops, Crocs or bare feet.

See the equipment and safety approachArrival, parking & access
Call for current parking, drop-off and arrival instructions at the base. Ask about parking costs, transfer arrangements and river-access needs before arrival. Share your needs early so the team can discuss whether the trip is appropriate and what assistance is possible.
Rain, river levels & changing plans
Trips run rain or shine. River level can change route options, especially on overnights. A forecast is not a reason to assume a booking has been canceled. Speak with the team and review the published cancellation policy .
Stay for more than the river.
Choose lodging that gives you enough time to reach check-in without rushing. Our published local information covers North Creek , Lake George , Saratoga Springs and Lake Placid . Check current openings and directions with the providers directly.
