Build the river into your stay.
Choose the experience before arranging the rest of the day. The Hudson Gorge day trip is a full river outing, with the published 9 a.m. check-in and roughly 3 p.m. return. That makes an early start or a night nearby worth considering. Overnight rafting has its own route and meeting arrangements; confirm them before scheduling lodging or transport.
If a gentler float suits the group, look at five-mile Class I tubing and confirm its timing and requirements separately. It is not the same schedule as the rafting day.
Choose a season that fits the crew.
Spring is the higher-water Hudson season, summer is generally warmer and popular for families, and fall brings foliage and cooler layers. Water levels vary. For children, the summer guideline is age 6+ with an adult, but the team must confirm suitability for the date. High-water and Class V requirements are different.
The published day rate is $120 per person, or $840 for a private raft for 4–8. Check the current booking total and dates before planning a fixed itinerary from your accommodation.
